Please follow the steps below to add a client to an existing family. Remember that a family is used for separate invoices but aggregating assets (used for parents and adult children for example) to benefit from a better effective rate if billed on a tiered fee schedule. You don't want to create families if you want to combine clients' accounts on to one invoice. For one invoice with multiple clients' accounts (used for spouses for instance) you want to use the Move Account feature.
To Add a Client to An Existing Family:
Go to the Clients page
Click on Add to Family in the pencil menu for the desired client
A slideout window will open
Click on Yes to the question "Add to an existing family?" in the slideout window
Select the Existing Family Name in the dropdown box
Click Save
Save for the Current Period
