How to Upload Clients & Accounts in BillFin
If you don't have a connector for one of your custodians in BillFin to sync in your accounts, you can upload them instead. Follow the steps below to download our CSV template, fill it out, and upload it back to BillFin. This process can also be used to edit accounts in bulk.
**Please note that required columns must be fill out and are indicated with a "*" in the column header. All other columns are optional and can be deleted from upload if not used.

Fill out Template
In the first two rows of the template, BillFin provides a header and description of the information you can include in each account row. If a header has a "*" next to it, this indicates that the field must be filled out for each account row. Please maintain the order of the columns provided. You may delete any columns that are not required. After filling out the template with your account information, save the file for uploading into BillFin.
*note: If you are uploading changes for accounts from an existing Schwab connector, remember to include two leading zeros next to each account before uploading as this is how we receive account data from Schwab. (example: "0012345678")
