eDocs - Sending Invoices By Email

eDocs is an add-on feature that allows users to electronically send invoices directly to their client's email addresses. Like all add-on features in BillFin, this will include an additional cost to subscription plans. If you have any questions about the cost you can view pricings on our website at www.billfin.com. If you would like this feature turned on for your BillFin account, please contact our support team at support@billfin.com. As a note, invoice delivery will require client email addresses AND passcodes be added in BillFin. Please contact support for steps to correctly set up eDocs for your clients.

After eDocs is turned on and clients have an email address and passcode in BillFin, users can review the below walkthrough of how to email invoices to customers in BillFin.

How to Use eDocs (Invoice Delivery):
- Navigate to the "Invoices" page


- After exporting invoices, click the drop down to select "Send Electronically"


- Select all or individual check boxes next to desired client invoices
      *Clients will be disabled or blocked from having invoices sent if there are any red flags on the fees page or if they are missing email/passcode information. We suggest resolving those prior to sending invoices.
- Click "Send Invoice"


BillFin will begin sending those invoices and display "queued" until invoices are sent. Users will need to click the refresh icon to update the status display to show "sent" 
      *Depending on client count, this could take some time for all invoices to be sent
