How to Exclude an Account from Billing and/or Client Aggregation
If an account needs to be setup up but excluded from billing and/or client aggregation of billable assets, you can make those updates at the account level edit screen.
- An account that is excluded from billing will not calculate a fee on the fees page and will show "Not Billable" on the client invoice.
- An account that is not included in the client aggregation will calculate the fee rate for billing based on the total billable assets for the account instead of the total billable assets for the client. The invoice will have a special note for the account stating the fee rate used for billing due to being excluded from the client aggregation.
How to exclude account from billing:
- Navigate to the clients page
- Hover over the pencil next to the client and click "View Client Details"
a slideout window will appear with the client details
- Click the pencil to the right of the account needing to be excluded
a new slideout window will appear to edit the account details
- Select "No" for the question "Billable" and/or "Include in Client Aggregation"
- Save for the current or next cycle
- Current cycle is the default for the fees page. If chosen, any fee already submitted for the current cycle will be updated to reflect the new change.
- Next cycle will be the upcoming billing period
