You can upload
addresses using our template on the Invoices page. In order to upload
client addresses, clients must be assigned an Invoice Recipient Code in
BillFin. Invoice Recipient Code is a client detail that can be added by
upload or manually and is required for the address upload to work)
To Add Invoice
Recipient Codes to Clients by Upload:
Go to the Clients page
Click on "Sync
Clients & Accounts" or "Upload Clients & Accounts"
A slideout window will
open
Click on Download the
Template
Open the template in Excel
Delete all columns
except Client Name, Invoice Recipient Code, Account Display Name, and Account
Portfolio Number
Fill out the Invoice
Recipient Codes column for your clients (you can only upload one Invoice
Recipient Code for a client so you will have to manually add any additional
Invoice Recipient Codes for additional recipients)
Save the template
Go back to BillFin
Go the Clients Page
Click on "Sync
Clients & Accounts" or "Upload Clients & Accounts"
A slideout window will
open
Click on "Upload
Clients & Accounts" in BillFin and select the file
Click Apply Changes if
the preview looks good (you should have NO NEW clients or accounts if you are
using this upload just to add Invoice Recipient Codes to existing clients)*
*Note: Schwab has
leading zeroes on their account numbers that get cutoff by Excel automatically in
exporting. Those 2 leading zeroes will have to be added back to your account
numbers in the spreadsheet to update existing accounts. If you do not add back
the leading zeroes, then you will be creating lots of new accounts with your
partial Schwab account numbers which you do not want to do.
